I got this shot from the bus window today. I've seen this name for cafes and bars a few times. One of my linguist friends here says it's from the word 'fartuna'- fortune. Anyone out there know any more?

:D "Фарт", meaning "luck" in Ukrainian and Russianб is a part of names of many companies. For example, in Кivne there are "Fart Service" and "Fart Lik": http://rivne.org/goldfr.htm http://rivne.org/cat/fartlik.htm
when my future hubby and i were in Switz. before getting married with a group of others skiing..there was a street named Gute Fahrt in Bern, I believe. We took a picture of a bunch of the guys standing in front of the sign. Did you go in the cafe to see if it was true advertising?
There's little dots on my map from lots of far away places, so I'm curious...who are you? How did you find me? Do you keep coming back? and what do YOU think?
