New President and my views on politics

I know that there is stuff going on that's important in the big picture of the world. But I have to think about stuff for a long time before I write about it. Check back in 30 years to hear my views on this campaign.

Just wondering what you thought of Gerald Ford. What's your analysis of his presidency?

I believe that it takes a long time for you to write about things...I mean, we're finally getting to read about your kindergarten days!! Thanks for blogging; I check back in once in a while and find I've missed a lot.

uhm Gerald Ford, somehow I just can't work myself into a writing frenzy about hime. It's kinda like that.

this is the problem if we check back in 30 years you will say, "uhm Obama, somehow I just can't work myself into a writing frenzy about him. It's kinda like that." But I guess we wait and see.

ya, it's like to be kind of like that.

I can't get passionate about politics because they interfere with the other passions of my life. I can't discuss politics with people because when there is a disagreement I drop out of the discussion because there are other ways to influence the tide of the times. You know what I mean. And so I stay quiet.

besides, politics is a good way to ruin a friendship. Not only that, it's highly over-rated and proly we take ourselves and our views a little too seriously. In the long run, the important thing is to be free in ourselves to serve God... and you can be that in some pretty mangy situations... and I'm not talking about the US... let's try Zimbabwe... or Haiti... or Liberia... or Pakistan...the list is pretty long.

not that I don't think you should vote! mind you! I do, and I would have if I could've gotten it all done over here in time (remember the last time? You and I registered in April or May and never got our ballots at ALL!) You've gotta love overseas voting.
